The History of Stewarts Point

Stewarts Point is a small coastal community that is located approximately 100 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Sitting on the rugged, rocky coastline of Sonoma County, Stewarts Point offers visitors the chance to see one of the truly hidden gems of California. 

There are two roadways that will ultimately deliver you to Stewarts Point. Enjoy the beautiful coastal drive along California State Route 1 or take the cross county adventure along Stewarts Point-Skaggs Springs Rd. Stewarts Point-Skaggs Springs Rd. will bring you from US-101 directly to the heart of Stewarts Point. 

If you are visiting The Sea Ranch, Gualala, Timber Cove or Salt Point State Park, be sure to stop on by and check out the Stewarts Point Store*. It’s one of the oldest family owned stores in northern California.
